I'm Kristine, a thirty-something-year-old military nurse, and Nurse Practitioner graduate student, who was sick and tired of being in debt. I decided to get out of debt and work my way towards building wealth and freedom both professionally and financially. Over the course of 3 years, I paid off $62,000 of all kinds of debt including, car loan, credit cards, and student loans on a modest salary of $60,000, while living in one of the most expensive cities in the country, Washington, D.C.
Currently, I'm stationed in San Diego, CA and paying off the remaining $68,000 in student loans in 13 months. Through my blog, I'm documenting my journey to remain accountable, in addition to inspiring others that they don't have to just accept that those soul-sucking student loans. There's a new American dream and it's being debt free!
